PULSEAUDIO
Sound server for POSIX desktops
LGPL-2.1
ABOUT
On Linux, apps fighting over ALSA cannot mix, Bluetooth, or network audio cleanly. PulseAudio is a userspace sound server so desktops share devices, resample, and stream without each client owning the hardware.
INSTALL
brew install pulseaudioINTEGRATION GUIDE
1. Mix desktop apps onto one output without ALSA device conflicts
2. Route Bluetooth headsets through a userspace sound server
3. Stream audio over the network between POSIX machines
4. Resample mismatched rates so players share a single device
