ABOUT
Single points of failure in critical infrastructure can cause hours of downtime when a server, load balancer, or network path fails. Keepalived implements the Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol (VRRP) to automatically fail over IP addresses and services between redundant servers, combined with Layer 4 health checks to ensure traffic is only routed to healthy backends.

1. Configure automatic failover between primary and backup load balancers with sub-second detection
2. Set up Layer 4 health checks for HTTP, TCP, and SSL services to remove failed backends from rotation
