Vim and Neovim need a plugin stack for LSP, treesitter, and fuzzy find. Helix bakes those in: native LSP, tree-sitter grammars, multiple cursors, and a selection-first modal model, so ML engineers get a fast terminal editor that works over SSH without configuring a plugin manager.
