ABOUT
MinIO and Ceph assume a datacenter. Garage targets small, geo-spread clusters: it implements the S3 API, replicates chunks across zones, and stays operational when sites are weakly connected, so teams can self-host training data, checkpoints, and backups without a full object-storage ops team.
